Love, Poppies, and Space Shuttles

For Valentine's Day this year we got to take a little weekend trip to Vegas where we met up with my parents and Brianne. It was so much fun! We got to do some shopping, sight-seeing, swimming and golfing. We even got to attend an enlightening and semi-convincing time-share presentation! ;) And, most importantly, WE GOT TO EAT AT FIVE GUYS! (ha jokes...that was not the most important...I have a food-excitement situation that I need to work on.)

It was a fun and relaxing vacation and it was perfect timing for a family visit. I just miss them so much...all the time. I almost started crying with joy when we pulled into the parking lot and saw those three muskateers. Alright, I DID cry a little when my Dad made that laughy, shruggy face he makes and waved to us from the car. Haha I love my Dad. I love you, Dad! Also, I love my Mom! I just thought you all might like to know. They are the best of the best.

I love these two.

I love my Brianney so. Sisters are the best thing.

Can you believe we've lived in California for 8 months?! I canNOT. It has gone by so fast! And we are absolutely loving it. Especially the weather. California winter lived up to my expectations and then some. Sitting out by the pool in 80 degree weather in February? Are you kidding me?! It's a literal dream come true for both of us! I know it was a mild winter in Utah, too, though. Of COURSE!...it's my first winter not living in Logan and you get to wear shorts in December! Rude.

Kent got to go snowboarding with a friend from work a couple weeks ago. They went to Mammoth which is, unfortunately, a substantial ways away and required them to stay overnight. Lonely times for Robyn. So, I cut my hair.

Yep. I literally walked into the bathroom, took Kent's scissors out of the drawer, sighed a large sigh, and chopped it off.

And it turned out great! I love it! And I have not regretted it for one second. It's not that short, but for ME, it is!

But the moral of the story is, Kent had a fun time snowboarding. And he even recognized me when he got home!

We got to go to the Poppy Fields about a month ago. We got there in the evening and we weren't sure where to go for the best views, so we just ran up a random trail to try to beat the sunset. They were really pretty, but we need to go back to find the best place for viewing.

Kent's parents got to come visit us for Easter weekend and it was just lovely. We got to go to the Flight Test Museum, the musical road (a must-see for all our visitors), and the California Science Center (Space Shuttle Endeavor, anyone?!). We also got to celebrate Betty Jo's Birthday on Easter Sunday! It was a really nice day filled with conference-watching, games, and birthday cheesecake. It was a really fun weekend and we were very sad to see them leave.
